HISTORY

It all started one Christmas in 2006. Brandon a member of our team received a NXT robot from his grandpa, which is Coach Dale. On the back of the box he read that with these, you can form a team, program tasks, and compete against one another in competition. This competition was formed by FIRST. He asked his grandpa if he would coach and he said that he would gladly do this.
In 2007 Coach Dale went to the teachers to ask for recommendations for team members. He got 10 members including his grandson Brandon. Three of the 10 members quit because they either didn’t like it or they had sports. The 2007 competition was called Power Puzzle that had to do with conserving energy. We won first for robot design and programming, at Purdue Calumet which was our regional and won first in programming, and third in robot design at state.
In 2008 we lost and gained one member. That year the competition was called Climate Connections and it to do with weather. At Purdue, we won first over-all and at state we came in 18th.
